Harry Winston has produced some fantastic watches in the past. We are big fans of their Opus series which is done in conjunction with leading independent watchmakers. For Baselworld 2015, a small preview from the Midnight collection. The Harry Winston Midnight Feathers Automatic 42mm.
The eye is immediately drawn to the dial of the watch. It looks like a piece of natural wood. But the pattern is actually made up of bird feathers. Each remige or flight feather is carefully selected, shaped and then placed under a magnifying glass, so as to ensure optimal precision. The resulting marquetry motif plays on alternating colors that impart a vibrant, dynamic rhythm to the dial.
The Harry Winston Midnight Feathers Automatic
Viewable through the sapphire caseback is the HW2008 mechanical movement with automatic winding. It has a skeletonised Harry Winston rotor and the rest of the movement is finished with Côtes de Genève and beveled bridges.

The slim case is 18k Rose Gold and is 42mm in size. It features the House’s timeless design, three arches, a tribute to the iconic gates of Harry Winston’s Fifth Avenue salon.
