New: Ba1110d returns to its roots with Chapter 7
The Ba111od Chapter 7 has a retail price of CHF 495.00 for steel models on textile straps, CHF 595.00 for steel bracelets, CHF 525 for models with steel case with anthracite pvd treatment and textile bracelets and CHF 625 for models on steel case with steel bracelets with anthracite pvd treatment.
Ba111od may be just 4 years old, but they are already releasing their 7th collection. To celebrate this milestone, they have released the Chapter 7.
This is a sporty watch, executed in steel cases which the option to select models with anthracite pvd coating. The satin finished case with polished faceted edges looks rather like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak at a first glance, though the crown at 4 o’clock is a straight giveaway. The similarities are probably due to the 8 sided, angular bezel over an angular tonneau shaped base. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as the Ba1110d is offered at a fraction of the price one would expect to pay for an AP.
The 42mm watch is available in as 3 models in either an anthracite dial with red accents on the seconds hand and rehaut, blue with yellow accents on the seconds hand or silver-white dial. And in two variants of either a textile strap or steel bracelet. In addition, each model and bracelet variant is available in steel or anthracite pvd on steel. The strap and bracelets feature an easy interchangeable system
The dials are the first from Ba111od which are not skeletonised. The movement remains a Swiss made movement visible from the case back.
As usual, the watch looks like an amazing value for the product it presents. We will be handling and photographing the watch soon, and will bring you a hands-on review when we are able to do so.
At this very moment, the young Swiss watch brand BA111OD celebrates its 4th anniversary. To mark the occasion, it is returning to the roots of its early success with a brand-new, affordable collection in the 7th Chapter of its young history. The brand, which has made a name for itself by democratizing fine watchmaking, is now launching a Swiss-made model designed to be worn by everyone. Between urban inspiration and classicism, this 42mm self-winding mechanical timepiece in steel (with or without anthracite pvd treatment) features 3 hands (h-m-s) and a date window. Available in 3 versions, with textile or metal bracelet, it is available immediately.
Back to the roots
After the recent launches of more cutting-edge models and prestigious complications (such as the Chapters 4 Tourbillon, Chapter 5 Chronograph, CHPTR_Δ), BA111OD is returning to what made its first success: a simple, elegant watch that embodies the harmony between style, quality and accessibility. “BA111OD has come a long way. If I originally launched a first watch, it was mainly to demonstrate a business model. The results were far beyond my expectations. And so, somewhat by chance, the brand was born. Today, for its 4th anniversary, it’s time for me to return to the entry-level and offer a magnificent watch accessible to the greatest number. “I’ve always wanted to democratize access to watchmaking, with a customer-centric approach. By rethinking the distribution model, I set up an innovative business model based on e-commerce, a bridge linking commerce and e-commerce, the community evolution of e-commerce. Thanks to this unique business model, it was possible to experiment with the approach and offer the best of Swiss watchmaking at a price unmatched in the industry, without compromising on quality or service,” explains the founder.
Chapter 7 : three models, two variants
A true homage to modern aesthetics, with balanced lines and subtle details that reflect the essence of urban life, the Chapter 7 timepieces are signed by Liliane Murenzi, the brand’s Senior Designer. “The idea, with this line, was to create a timepiece like a basic: easy to wear, affordable, that takes up the color codes dear to the brand, as well as the iconic crown, positioned at 4 o’clock”. Attention to detail proved to be our watchword,as evidenced by our satin-finish case with polished facets, reflecting elegance and sophistication from every angle. The brand’s first non-skeletonized Chapter, equipped with a self-winding mechanical movement, is available in three 42mm steel variants with structured dials: blue with a yellow seconds hand (a nod to the brand’s very first bestseller); silver-white for a touch of classicism; and a more racy version with a case coated in anthracite pvd and a touch of garnet. All three models are available on a textile strap with NFC connected chips for a resolutely urban style, or on a steel bracelet (with or without anthracite pvd coating). Textile and steel bracelets are interchangeable, thanks to an easy-clip system.
Since 2019, every launch orchestrated by Thomas Baillod, founder of the BA111OD watch brand, via the LinkedIn platform and private events, has been eagerly awaited by his Afluendors (a contraction of “Ambassadeurs, inFLUENcers and venDORS”). Each time, the recipe is the same: the presentation, to a growing and committed community, of watches with powerful DNA and design, clear positioning and prices never before seen on the market.
The Chapter 7 is available immediately from the BA111OD showroom at the Villa Castellane in Neuchâtel, at www.ba111od.com or via the Afluendors boutiques, at CHF 495.00 for steel models on textile straps, CHF 595.00 for steel bracelets. Models with anthracite pvd treatment are CHF 525.- on textile bracelets and CHF 625.- on steel bracelets with pvd treatment. An opportunity to (indulge) yourself at a decidedly attractive price!
