This year, Panerai extends their collaboration with Luna Rossa Pirelli and the partnership is the key feature for this year.
For the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli racing team participating in this year’s America’s Cup in Barcelona. The novelties use a new titanium ceramisation, improved luminosity and higher water resistance.

This is in 44mm case size with 500m water resistance and encased in a new material is known as Ti-Ceramitech. The material is made by the fusion of ceramic and titanium in a plasma electrolytic oxidation and is not a coating, but the hardened layer is 10 times thicker and harder than a regular ceramic coating. This new material took 7 years of development.

This next watch is the first of the watches to feature a brighter lume, and will be the base for all Panerai watches of the future. The material used is now exclusive to Panerai and is the SuperLumiNova x2 which is 100% brighter than the usual.
