New: Ressence Type 1° M

The Ressence Type 1° M will retail at SGD 28,500 inclusive of GST. Available in Singapore and Malaysia from The Hour Glass.

Commentary

A fresh new take at the Type 1 Round, and based on the Type 1 Slim case measuring 42mm x 11mm. Ressence watches typically wear smaller than the case dimensions suggest, due to the way the case wraps around the wrist with the short lugs. The watch also normally look larger as the dial extends almost to the edges of the face.

This novelty is slightly reminiscent to the Ressence & Sotheby’s Reveal winner of #WatchesAgainstCovid19 Design Campaign with a different play of colour.

The use of colour in a textured matte finish on the dial makes for an amazing look – the pastel like primary colours is quite a calming, harmonious feel, especially coupled with the rounded, smooth, tactile feel of the case. Quite a treat.

Other than the colour variation, the Type 1° M is the standard Type 1 collection. Same polished titanium case, same movement and even keeping the same retail pricing of CHF 16.8k

After its launch at the beginning of the year, the TYPE 1 Round takes on a refreshing twist this Autumn, expanding the colour territory of Ressence with the polychromatic dial of the TYPE 1° M.

Ressence adds strokes of colour to the canvas of time with this new multicolour addition to the TYPE 1 Round collection, promising to infuse each day with a burst of energy.

Embracing graphic playfulness while maintaining Ressence’s signature sleek design, this watch is crafted for the discerning spirit.

The contrasting, yet complementary, red, blue, yellow and green featured on the Hour, Minute, Second and Weekday discs of the TYPE 1° M bring soft essential hues to the light grey dial and elegant multicoloured magic to the watch owner’s wrist.

The gentle primary colours are well paired with the rounded and tactile design of the case, establishing a harmonious connection between form, colour, and material and ultimately elevating the visual experience.

Refined dial design

Beyond the discs’ colours, the numbers and indexes on the dial feature white paint while the hands are grey with coloured tip. All engraved indications are also filled with 100% grade A Super-LumiNova®.

ROCS
The TYPE 1° M is more than just a pretty face. It also boasts Ressence’s cutting-edge ROCS 1.3 (Ressence Orbital Convex System) module, driven by the minute axle of a customised 2892 base calibre, featuring revolving discs that display time in a bi-dimensional layout.

Intuitive simplicity

As with all Ressence watches, when setting the time, the timepiece is simultaneously being wound. This is as intuitive as moving the hands on an old wall clock. The absence of a crown makes the watch comfortable for both left or right fit.
