Live from WWG 24: Highlights and new from Patek Philippe

Here are the two star watches which has caught our attention.

Patek Philippe Worldtimer Ref. 5330G-001

This is a new Patek worldtimer has indexed local date. This a new complication to indicate local time as one changes the time during travel. The date can go forward or backwards depending on the local timezone. The carbon motif dial is in blue grey and this first appeared in the Ref. 6007A in 2020. Retail price is SGD 110,900.

The base movement is the C.240 with the world time module. This was first exhibited in the Patek Grand Exhibition in Tokyo in 2023.

Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse Ref. 5738/1R-001

A refresh to the Golden Ellipse which has become a classic. The novelty is a refresh of the Ref. 5738R released in 2018. The key enhancement is the new chain style bracelet in rose gold which is very pliable and follows the contours of the wrist. The fine links are not only good to look at, but comfortable as well. The retail price is SGD 87,000.

The bracelet can be adjusted by removing 3 links on each side, and there are 3 further positions on the clasp.

Patek Philippe Seal

A new standard was also released for the PP Seal. A new rate of -1/+2s a day is now mandatory, with a min water resistance of 30m is now applied to all PP watches with water resistance.

And most importantly, all new PP watches sold from May 1 2024 will now come with an international warranty of 5 years. This is an increase from the usual 2 years.
