Deployant Event report: An excellent evening with horological discussions and dinner with Ba111od

We had the pleasure to hose Thomas Baillod, CEO of Ba111od and Deployant Friends to an intimate dinner last week and bring you this report of the evening.

The watches that Ba111od brought with them to showcase to our guest.

After the introduction formalities, we settled down on the tables at The Black Sheep Cafe, an intimate and cozy local French restaurant run by Ratha Krisna. Ba1110od CEO Thomas Baillod began by sharing the philosophy of his young and innovative brand where they believe in putting collector’s first by creating amazing Swiss Made watches by democratising high-end luxury timepieces. Some might say, they are the best kept secret in the Swiss Watch Valley.

Thomas Baillod, CEO of Ba111od Watches sharing on his philosophy and idea behind the brand.

We heard about how Ba111od started out to be a disruptor to the high-end horology brands, and the disproportionate amount of margins which lay within the distribution chain. Thomas reiterated the importance of watch-making where their clients and collectors form up the most important aspect of their brand. He wanted to ensure that Ba111od watches are democratised and made accessible to the many by cutting away the fluffs of marketing and middle-man. He is keen to forge great relationships with both the watch makers and collectors to understand everyone better so that he can create a positive watch community.

Guests and Friends of Deployant for the wonderful evening.

The choice of restaurant that we have chosen to further compliment the “Best Kept Secret” theme, we chose The Black Sheep Cafe that is at Norris Road. It is ran by the highly acclaimed Chef Ratha who was trained in a one of Singapore’s most iconic Hotel. He was able to showcase the essence of the Ba111od with their amazing French cuisine.
