A Lange and Sohne gave a sneak peak with the reveal of the 1815 Chronograph Boutique Edition just before Watches & Wonders. Today we bring you a new release from Watches & Wonders. Introducing the A. Lange & Söhne 1815 “200th Anniversary F. A. Lange” Honey Gold
2015 marks the 200th of birthday of Ferdinand Adolph Lange the founder of A. Lange & Söhne. In his honour the commemorative 1815 “200th Anniversary F. A. Lange” edition in platinum with a black dial was launched last February. This new limited edition pays tribute to founder of Saxon precision watchmaking with a 40mm case made from Honey Gold and specially textured dial.
The solid-silver dial of the new 1815 “200th Anniversary F. A. Lange” is endowed with a finely textured argenté-grainé surface. The dial is reminiscent of the silvery dials found in historic observation watches and marine chronometers & showcases a rare and traditional finishing technique.
The movement is the manually wound calibre L051.1 & has a power reserve of 55 hours. It features the hallmarks of a Lange movement which include the three-quarter plate made of untreated German silver, the hand-engraved balance cock, the classic screw balance, the precision beat-adjustment system with lateral set screw and whiplash spring, and five gold chatons that are secured with thermally blued steel screws.
The A. Lange & Söhne 1815 “200th Anniversary F. A. Lange” Honey Gold is limited to 200 pieces.
