With Vacheron Constantin’s Collectionneurs, acquiring your dream vintage timepiece can now be done with a peace of mind.

As many vintage watch collectors would know, acquiring a vintage timepiece is a tall order. He has to firstly source for the watch, and then authenticate it. Two drastically difficult things to do, given a relatively small amount of information regarding vintage watches and a lack of expertise that the collector requires. Moreover buying a vintage timepiece can be a nightmare due to the lack of after sales services. There may be faults in the movement, unreliable parts or even franken dials, screws, gears, etc. Vacheron Constantin saw that its customers were faced with these difficulties and launched “Vacheron Constantin Collectionneurs” as both a product line, and very much a unique service proposition.

The concept of “Vacheron Constantin Collectionneurs” is to repurchase vintage timepieces from reliable sources and service them to be sold to customers. All of these are done by Vacheron Constantin herself. The timepieces are carefully chosen and screened by Vacheron Constantin heritage specialists and are presented in Vacheron Constantin cases. They come fully serviced with a certificate of authenticity, a free one year guarantee and access to the highly experienced Vacheron Constantin after-sales service and restoration teams.

  1. Nice report Chester. I think as with all collectibles, it was going to be a matter of time when the brands go back to their roots and restore some of their more illustrious pieces.

The VC pocket watch is flawless – I had the fortune to examine it in the boutique. Well restored and amazing piece of history.

But it all comes at a cost – I think the pricing is slightly high though. But what can I say – the amount of work that went into this piece must have been tremendous. Love it!

    • Hi Eddie,

Thanks for reading! I do agree with you on the pricing. But I guess what goes into the price would be the service. The human touch and the peace of mind in selecting a vintage.
