Time to Move: This week is Swatch Week!

The Swatch Group shows her novelties an event called “Time to Move” in Switzerland next week, and we will be providing daily coverage live on-site. We are calling the week of May 14-16 2019: Swatch Week!

Get all the latest updates here, as we again go live from Switzerland (like what we did for SIHH and Baselworld). Six of The Swatch Group’s high end brands will be participating in “Time to Move”: Blancpain, Breguet,
Glashütte Original, Harry Winston, Jaquet Droz and Omega. We will be spending half a day at each manufacture. Glashütte Original’s visit will be in Geneva and we will not be going to Saxony for that.

In addition to the novelties from the Swatch Group, we will be bringing you the scenery of the manufactures, as we test out the Hasselblad X1D mirrorless medium format camera system. We will have the XCD 4/21, XCD 3.5/45 and the XCD 3.2/90. Unfortunately we could not get our hands on the XCD 4/120 macro lens, or the XH adapter so we can use our own HC 4/120 macro lens. So watch macros are out and will be limited to lifestyle images. Macros will be photographed with our usual Lumix GH2 Lumix Leica 45mm f/2,8 in the setup similar to the one we used in Baselworld. Watch out for that too.

  1. So, when will these live updates start happening? It’s the 15th already and nothing so far. I’m not sure if Swatch’s marketing strategy has been a good one for this event. There isn’t much info or hype currently.

    • It’s already started yesterday with Manufacture reports. And we just completed Day 2.

We are viewing and photographing the novelties. And details on the novelties will be published o. 17 May when embargo lifts.
