The Rendez-Vous collection from Jaeger LeCoultre is an interesting one – it is one of the few ladies’ timepieces that features mechanical movements with a variety of complications. In the upcoming SIHH 2017, JLC expands the collection once again.
The new timepieces are a part of the popular Rendez-Vous collection which will now be available with new design, sizes and colours. There will be a new day/night watch, a new moon phase watch and the what will probably be the star: a new watch with a chiming reminder function. It is indeed rare to see the focus and attention to a lady’s collection. Something we are particularly happy to JLC doing.
Here are the new additions to the Rendez-Vous collection.
Rendez-Vous Sonatina Large
The Sonatina Large is the main highlight in this year’s Rendez-Vous line-up. The watch is fitted with the new chiming reminder function, indicated by a little star that rotates around the dial. The function is adjusted using the top crown, in which it will play a short melody at the timing in which it is set to chime. In addition, it has a day and night indicator as well.
The 38.2mm watch is available in both rose or white gold, and its they are available with brilliant cut diamonds. Together with the amethyst shade dial, the Sonatina is a pretty timepiece – and one that will steal the heart of the ladies out there.
Rendez-Vous Night & Day
There are a couple of new additions for the Night & Day variants, starting with the Rendez-Vous Night & Day Large. The watch, which is sized at 38.2mm, is currently the biggest in the collection. New features include a quick strap/buckle change function, as well as a rose gold version that is coupled with an ostrich leather strap.
The next one is the Rendez-Vous Night & Day Medium, in which it is now available in yellow gold. It is paired with a silver guilloche dial, and fitted with a pink watch strap. Overall, the 34mm looks rather stunning, and it definitely brings out the feminine side of the collector.
Finally, we have the Rendez-Vous Moon. This is also the first time that this collection features the moon phase function, which we think is a welcoming addition to the collection. Available in both steel and rose gold, the watch is fitted with a guilloche dial, coupled with the moon phase indicator that is finished similarly as well. In addition, the rose gold model also features brilliant cut diamonds, set on both the bezel and the rim of the case, as well as the semi-circle surrounding the moon phase indicator.
The watch is powered by JLC’s Calibre 935A, which features an automatic movement with a power reserve of around 40 hours. The moon phase indicator, notably, is so accurate that it only lags a day once every 985 years.
The new additions to the Rendez-Vous collection are certainly impressive, and we are pretty sure that its aesthetics and variety will attract the female clientele. For more information on the watches, please check out JLC’s website here.
