Pre Baselworld 2015: H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Funky Blue

Firstly we would like to start off with a well done to H. Moser & Cie. !  We certainly were thinking (Click here for the preview post) they were going to release a  battery operated “smart watch” today and we were wrong!.   They have released a new version of their perpetual calendar with a new dial colour, which will be shown at Baselworld 2015.  Introducing the H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Funky Blue.

We are certainly fans of the fumé dials that H. Moser & Cie. produces and this new dial colour is eye catching!.  The dial is a sky blue colour, and definitely has the wow factor. We certainly think people will be drawn to it.  The watch is 40.8mm in diameter and has a  three part 18-carat white gold case.

This is still a “smart watch” since it is a instantaneous perpetual calendar taking into account the months with 28, 30 or 31 days and leap year.  Its layout also makes the watch special.  Instead of multiple windows, the hour markings also double as the months and this is indicated by the small arrow in the centre.  The big date is at 3 o clock.   There is no lag time between the date and the month indicator when they change. They both change over at the same time at midnight. The leap year indicator is located on the movement side, to keep the dial uncluttered.  The power reserve indicator is located at 9 o’clock.

The HMC 341 manufacture movement with 7 days power reserve can be viewed through the sapphire caseback.

To complete the watch, a hand-stitched beige kudu leather strap has been fitted.   This provides a nice contrast with the sky blue dial.

Here is the video which H.Moser & Cie. released which is slightly tongue in cheek!

  1. Very clever indeed Nick! Marketing at its best. Like myself, many were thinking of how they could unveil a current day smart watch. But this piece has a special meaning to “smart”. Fully agree that this is a winner in all respect.

    • Hi Eddie.

Their video was very well done. The dial is stunning!

Thank you for picking up the missing “r” of Jaeger in the POTUS Spot the Watch.
