New Release: EDOX Chronorally Sauber F1 Team 2017 Limited Edition

As the official watch partner of the Sauber F1 Team, EDOX (which means “measuring time” in ancient Greek) is a brand that stands for efficient timekeeping for sports competitions for both performance and precision.

This year, EDOX releases yet another new limited edition timepiece in co-operation with the Sauber F1 team of engineers and designers: the “EDOX Chronorally Sauber F1 Team Limited Edition”, limited to 555 pieces worldwide.

Born from the cauldron of elite motor racing, the 2017 version of the EDOX Chronorally Sauber F1 Team Limited Edition is a 48mm timepiece that shares the same high-technology DNA as a Sauber racing car; the watch is forged from a black titanium case is tough and yet light-weight, suitable for the fastest drivers on the track.

The interesting black carbon-fibre dial is the highlight of the piece, complementing the blue hands and indices, the official Sauber F1 Team colour. It also comes with a matching blue lume, ensuring legibility even in the dark. The entire racing look of the watch is complete with the electric blue rubber strap with tyre imprint.

On this 2017 version, the oversized start-stop pusher, a signature look of the EDOX Chronorally collection spots the Sauber F1 Team logo and a special side plate to further endorse the partnership.

The EDOX Chronorally Sauber F1 Team runs on the EDOX 38 Calibre, which is a quartz movement based on Ronda 8040 caliber, with standard battery life of approximately 48 months.

The timepiece comes presented in a special watch box, alongside with a special racer cap and is limited to 555 pieces worldwide.

  1. Agreed…. expected it to be around the 800 mark… I like the looks though, but on the other hand; Sauber is far from a winning team. Who really (!) wants to be linked with that…. last but not least expectations are the name Sauber will vanish not long from now.

  2. I’m a lifelong F1 and watch fan, but this is pretty bad. $2,400 for a limited edition quartz piece that could’ve come straight out of the Invicta catalog. Pass.
