For Watches & Wonders 2023, Hermès extends their popular H08 line with new cases/colours and a new chronograph. Also, a new moonphase ladies piece which is gemset.
Live from W&W: new from Hermès
As usual, the Hermès booth was an artistically whimsical showcase with mobile sculptures in a rather large space.
Among the novelties which was introduced by Hermès for W&W 2023, these were the ones which caught our eye. We have requested for a photo session for a more detailed review. More to come later.
First chronograph with in the Hermès’ very popular H08 lineup. The case is slightly bigger than the time only version. Hermès wanted a monopusher to ensure the lines on the case remain the same as with the HMS version.
Movement is the new Hermès Manufacture movement H1837, automatic with of 46 hours of power reserve. The pusher is coaxial to the crown and was light to activate – start/stop/reset had a good hand feel. The case is in a multi-layer carbon composite and machined to the shape of the H08 case. The bezel remains as machined aluminium to contrast with the case middle. Retail is SGD 21,500 inclusive of GST.
H08 new colours
A line extension of various colours and a new forged carbon case for the HMS H08 lineup was also introduced. Priced at SGD 10,000. Four new colours with matching rubber straps – yellow, green, blue or orange. The case is in a braided glass fibre composite case coated with aluminium and slate powder
Also new is the Arceau Petite Lune with dial in depicting the solar system made of aventurine on mother-of-pearl displaying planets in argonite, opal and spherical freshwater MOP and 5 diamonds. Gemset case in white gold with 70 diamonds. Case size is a very wearable 38mm in diameter.
