The talk of town is the new AP collection which is dubbed Code 11.59. Code is an acronym for Challenge Own Dare Evolve and 11.59 is AP’s way of telling the world that they are always 1min ahead of the game.
The collection is a full one, 13 references. From automatic to Chronograph, Perpetual Calendar, Flying Tourbillon, Openworked Tourbillon and Super Sonnerie. Only in gold, either pink or white. A total of 6 calibers of which 3 are new.
Pic above is the new Chronograph with a fully integrated column wheel system, a first for AP. Dial is black lacquer. The start/stop/reset on the prototype sample was firm to the push (not hard) but very smooth in engagement.
Pic below is the new Code 11.59 Perpetual Calendar with an adventurine dial.
And the SuperSonnerie with a grand feu enamel in smoked blue.
Contrary to popular belief, the RO is alive and well – Royal Oak Self Winding. New movement, cal 4302. The date window is now further from the center and indices are wider.
