Edox Iceman Cometh May 18

Crystal Time, the Singapore agents for Edox Watches hosted a dinner reception to introduce the latest from the Edox collection. The special guest in attendance was Christian Redl, also known as Iceman, Champion freediver. It was an interesting event, with great stories from Redl, and also the showing of the novelties from BaselWorld 2015.

Montblanc SIHH Novelties May 22

Montblanc Novelties of SIHH 2015.

Montblanc, in collaboration with Singapore retailer Sincere Fine Watches held a cocktail session to showcase the novelties from their SIHH 2015 collection. Hosting the event was Montblanc’s CEO Jerome Lambert who took the time to chat with guests and discuss the interesting challenge he has been given to run Montblanc. Hailing from Jaeger LeCoultre, he put into action the things he learnt from the watchmaking industry while working for luminaries like the late Günter Blümlein, and learning new things in new industries – like writing instruments and leather goods.

In attendence was also Julien Mirabel, Montblanc’s master watchmaker, now resident in Singapore who demonstrated the assembly of a chronograph. We will be featuring some of the Montblanc SIHH novelties soon. Watch this space.

Montblanc Black and White week May 27

Following the showcase for SIHH novelties, Montblanc launched their Black and White week, featuring their extensive range of writing instruments. The event was osted by Montblanc South East Asia Managing Director Andreas Boesch, in collaboration with  Performance Motors, the agents for BMW motor vehicles. Deployant attended the afternoon soirée and was impressed with art of penmanship and writing instruments were displayed together with German automotive engineering.

Glashütte Original Caliber 37 Roadshow May 27

Deployant also attended the Glashütte Original Press Cocktails on May 27 at the boutique in Timewise by Cortina. The event was hosted by Dieter Pachner, VP Sales of Glashütte Original and showcased the new GO chronograph movement: the Caliber 37. A master watchmaker was in attendance to show the assembly of the movement, and guests were invited to try their hand at it.
