We caught up with Xavier de Roquemaurel, CEO of Czapek and got a deeper understanding behind the new Antarctique Tourbillon. We present this discussion in video.
Watching the CEOs: Xavier de Roquemaurel on the new Czapek Antarctique Tourbillon (video)
We covered the release of the new Czapek Antarctique Tourbillon with our usual commentary as well as Live from WWG25 series. But we also made a video with the high energy, very effervescent CEO Xavier de Roquemaurel where he revealed the secrets behind the Antarctique Tourbillon.
The Czapek Antarctique Tourbillon retails at CHF 63,000. The Secret Alloy is limited edition of 50 pieces and the Glacier Blue and the Photon Sphere are not limited.

On the wrist, the watch definitely looks amazing. I am particularly attracted to the Glacier Blue model, with the cool blue hue of the dial providing able support to the guillochè trompe l’oeil pattern, for which they coined a special name of Singularit. The reference being the astronomical singularity which leads to a black hole. Not that the watch is one, but the pattern of swirls flowing inward does suggest one.

The layout of the dial side is equally intriguing. The entire movement train is visible, from the barrel in its bridge at 12 o’clock to the cannon pinion held by a large, pierced bridge to the bridge-less flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock.
And as mentioned in my commentary, I found the CHF 63k price level to be very attractive for a small independent offering a tourbillon watch which is designed, conceived and constructed in house. As Xavier hinted, we have been let into the secret of the new Anniversary watch to be released in Novemeber. And are no less excited to tell you all about it. But in due time.
