A watch a week: the Bell & Ross BR03-94 RS17

It has been slightly over a week since I started wearing the BR03-94 RS17, provided to us at Deployant by Bell & Ross Singapore. For the most of us, having to wear the same watch over a period of seven days definitely proves to be a challenge, and I was tasked to document my week in photos for this unique, unconventional piece.

As mentioned in my review, the design of the BR03-94 RS17 Chronograph was inspired by the steering wheel of the new Renault RS17 F1 car, and introduced as part of a trilogy to celebrate their inaugural sponsorship for the Renault Sport F1 team.

The carbon-fiber dial mimics the surface of the steering wheel.

On my first day with the watch I recall myself being excited to check the time frequently, as it seems to have everything I love in a watch. Perhaps I am biased, as this is coming from someone who is into large watches; anyone who has seen my collection would know that I am into large watches, preferably 40mm and above. I actually like how alluring big watches look on small wrists.

Thanks to the snug and fitting short rubber strap that came with the watch, as well as the adjustable keeper I was able to wear the large timepiece well, with it sitting nicely on my 5.5″ wrist.

For a watch that signifies speed, it sure lounges very well too!

Taking photos of the watch was an easy thing, thanks to its photogenic features. I slowly realized that what’s really different about this watch among others in my collection is that it parts of many coming together, and everyday you will discover something new about it.

Everyday, the watch presents you with a gem to discover.

I guess that I may have come to the point in my life where I prefer to express myself creatively through the choice of timepiece (and its strap) on my wrist. The BR03-94 RS17 is bold and unassuming, always ready to take on any adventure presented to it.

Back to the office in the early week and the outfits that I picked were mainly solid colours in white, navy and grey. I decided to let the watch do the talking instead.

I paired the watch with a crisp white shirt, which was really an obvious choice that morning.

Over the weekend I spent time grocery shopping and at the pool and I was thrilled with how hardy the watch can be, in every sense of the word.

I must say that I really enjoyed putting the photos together over the week, and although the watch has bold and masculine aesthetics, I think that most of us are pleasantly surprised at how well it works too for ladies’ small wrists!

  1. Lovely attractive watch. It’s definitely too big for 5.5” wrists. Oversized watches work on ladies, but for men with smaller wrists, not so much.
