TGIF: Grand Seiko TOKYO TIME Pop Up in Singapore
Press Release:
Singapore, January 2026 – Grand Seiko proudly presents TOKYO TIME, a curated pop-up experience that immerses audiences in the dynamic contrasts of Japan’s capital – where tradition meets modernity and stillness meets motion. More than a showcase of horology, TOKYO TIME is an exploration of how time is lived, felt, and expressed across the city’s diverse districts.
By merging immersive storytelling with personalized discovery, Grand Seiko invites visitors to experience Tokyo not just as a place, but as a rhythm – reflecting the brand’s unwavering pursuit of precision and the perpetual flow of time. This vision is brought to life through the lens of Gregory Harris, a New Zealand-born photographer based in Lisbon, renowned for his powerful and meticulously composed visuals. Moving beyond the studio to the streets of Tokyo, Harris captures the city’s “dynamic contrasts,” focusing on the interplay of light, shadow, and the coexistence of the old and the new. His photography does more than show a location; it captures a fleeting moment in time, aligning perfectly with Grand Seiko’s philosophy of the nature of time and its eternal flow.
Tokyo is a city shaped not by a single rhythm, but by the coexistence of many – each district moving to its own cadence while contributing to a greater whole. Drawing inspiration from this idea, TOKYO TIME brings together eight Grand Seiko timepieces, each representing a distinct Tokyo district and its unique relationship with time.
