We covered the release with commentary when the embargo lifted, and were quite impressed. So we requested for samples to be sent to us as loaners for review. Here are our thoughts after spending two weeks with the watches.

Each of the two versions have their merits. On the wrist, they actually look different enough to almost be two unrelated watches, though obviously tied to each other by the DNA.

The DNA is distinctly Vianney Halter this time, unlike the first Louis Erard x Vianney Halter collaboration. The rivets on the bezel are now real, and each inserted.

And even the crown now is a real Vianney crown, with the rivets also each individually inserted.

And the dial also carries the signature Vianney Halter design elements, with the overlay. Contrasting finishes on the dial chapter rings which are over-laid to the vertical grained dial plate. The effect makes the rings stand out, especially when the edges are chamfered and polished while the top surfaces are matte finished. The Vianney Halter hands complete the picture.

The movement remains the same as those found on Louis Erard Regulators, and is the unglamourous but decidedly workhorse Sellita SW266-1, embellished with the LE logo on the rotor.
