Perrelet has expanded its Weekend collection with four new natural stone-dial models in turquoise, lapis lazuli, tiger’s eye and black onyx. At CHF 1,590, these are among the more accessible Swiss-made watches with natural stone dials. We had a hands-on session at Geneva Watch Days, where the turquoise reference caught our eye. Here is our detailed review, including pricing, specifications and a video introduction from Perrelet CEO Hugo Lesizza.

The Case, Dial and Hands
The case is the classical round case with sloped lugs from the Perrelet Weekend Collection. The case measures 39mm and is constructed in stainless steel. The case surfaces are finished alternatively in a high polish and matte satin, which gives it some dimensionality. The watch is offered in both a 6 link stainless steel bracelet, also finished alternately in polish and satin, and a calf strap matching the colour of the dial.

The Weekend is a three hand watch with date displayed in a framed aperture just inward of the 3 o’clock bar marker. The natural stone dial is made as large as possible, as the bezel design is minimal, allowing the entire surface to radiate the stone’s natural magnificence.

The indices are appliqué bars with minute markers printed on the natural stone dial. The hands are Dauphine for the hour and minutes and long central mounted seconds hand. The dial carries minimal branding, with just the Perrelet logo and name with 1777, the year of the maison’s founding pad printed on the upper half of the dial below 12 o’clock.

This is a simple, classical looking watch, with little distraction other than the offer to showcase the stone dial. And that it does. The dial is cut as a slice from natural stone. Thus each is unique, with different inclusions and patterns revealed during the cutting.

The Movement
The movement is visible through the case back. And is finished in a monotone finish of silver. The caliber is the P-321 automatic, manufactured by Soprod. Both Perrelet and Soprod are owned by Festina. The movement runs at 28,800 bph with a 42 hour power reserve. Interestingly, its 42-hour power reserve is not quite enough to carry the watch through an unworn weekend. In practice, however, the intent of this watch is to wear it over the weekend, which, of course keeps the automatic movement wound.

Movement finishing is de rigueur for a watch at this price point. The engineering finishing is done well, and the movement features perlage and an open worked rotor with a sunray finish. But overall, the finishing is nothing to write home about. Standard finishing which should be reliable and able to keep good time.
What the watch Looks & Feels Like on the Wrist
The dial is definitely the center of attraction. Be it the turquoise of our review sample, or the other offerings in Lapis Lazuli, Tiger’s Eye or Black Onyx. Each beautifully polished, protected by a transparent layer of lacquer. And each with its unique pattern and hue.

On the wrist, the 39mm case size wears as it should. It feels nice and comfortable on my 180mm flat wrist. This sizing will fit most wrists well. The watch also feels rather flat, and the stainless steel bracelet as tested is very supple and flexible. Legibility is excellent in good light as the polished appliqué elements set off with good contrast to the stone. But as there is no lume, legibility in the dark will be a challenge.
Pricing notes
At just below CHF 1.6k, this series is possibly one of the lowest cost entries into the world of stone dials. The price is just CHF 100 more than the standard brass dial models. This low pricing is possible as the Festina Group has the advantage of economies of scale which they have chosen to pass on to the collector.
Competitive Landscape
The world of watches with stone dials keeps expanding. Natural stone dials have traditionally been associated with considerably more expensive watches, but the segment has broadened considerably in recent years. The traditional maisons like Rolex, Piaget who specialise in these unique dials dot the landscape. And newcomers like Czapek, Gerald Charles also feature stone as a dial option for many of their collections. All these watches have retail prices set much higher than the Perrelet Weekend. Even for an entry level maison like Louis Erard, whose stone dials watches are still pitched at CHF 2.5k. And yet, Perrelet is offering the watches at just below CHF 1.6k.
Concluding thoughts
The Perrelet Weekend Stone Dials are an interesting option to get your feet into the world of stone dials. The watch is rugged, attractive and wears well. And offers these natural stone dials which are amazingly beautiful at an accessible pricing. Perrelet has taken a traditionally expensive decorative technique and put it into a relatively accessible Swiss-made Weekend watch, while retaining the visual appeal of natural stone.

Perrelet Weekend Stone Dials: FAQ – what you need to know
Yes, these 4 stones – turquoise, lapis lazuli, tiger’s eye and black onyx are new for 2026. But Perrelet has released two versions in aventurine and malachite in 2025.
The case is 39mm. And it wears perfectly as a 39mm watch. On the author’s 180mm flat wrist, it sits comfortably. The minimal bezel design exposes a larger stone dial surface, making the watch look larger.
The movement is the Perrelet P-321 automatic movement which is made by Soprod. Soprod is a company owned by the same parent as Perrelet.
The Perrelet Weekend Stone Dials retail for CHF 1,590. This places them at the accessible end of the Swiss-made natural stone-dial segment. Because each dial is cut from natural stone, individual examples have their own inclusions, textures and patterns.
