New Video: The Deployant Show Episode 3 – how to buy your first watch

In this Episode we cover our broad activity profile for the first quarter of 2025. And also begin a series of guides for the first time collector. In this first of the series, we begin to tackle the question of what are the considerations when buying your first watch. And start your collector journey. We give a few tips on what to look for and some suggestions.

We shot the episode outdoors, as an experiment. We may release the bloopers in another video later. The camera we used is iPhone 16 Pro running Blackmagic Camera App shooting ProRes LT. and despite being on a tripod, people kept walking into the frame. And we had to take those footage out during edits. Also, as Singapore is a rather noisy city environment, the background sounds of the city on a Saturday morning is also captured. Perhaps it gives you a flavour of what it is like at The Esplanade where we recorded the video. Maybe it is also a bit distracting…let us know if you feel this is so.

Invitation to cycle with us

And we call this the Cycling Edition because we are inviting you to join us for these Saturday rides. We typically start at about 8am, weather permitting. And the meetup location is central, usually at Wheelock Place. The regular ride is a casual, no-drop ride. And usually is a very relaxed ride of not more than 30km. But we do ride on the Singapore road, so you will need to be comfortable to be in the city traffic. We will help, of course. And the most important part of the ride is the mid-ride coffee session, where we will usually park ourselves in a coffee shop for a good hour or more. To engage in a good discussion…watches, of course.

All are welcome, regardless of the type of bicycles you ride. But there will be some safety rules. So please do come and join us. You can reach us my messaging our FB, IG, YouTube, or comment here.

See you on our rides!
