Commentary

This line extension is a fresh green dial with matching green alligator strap. The line up was released in September this year in the 41mm polished titanium case and is designated the Reference 6612, itself an extension to the 43mm steel cased Ref. 6610 released in 2019. This release is to commemorate the Dubai Watch Week 2025, and is a limited edition of 25 pieces. The usual accoutrements of the Patria design remain. The pattern of the guilloché on the dial, with concentric circles on the small seconds sub-dial remains. The appliqué hour indicators now feature Arabic-Indian numerals at 4, 8 and 12 o’clock. The hand polished steel hands, and the case in polished titanium are also unchanged.

The movement remains the very beautiful Caliber 617 which is an in-house developed and manufactured movement.

Pricing of the entire lineup has been steadily increasing since our review of the Patria Admiral Blue (in the larger 43mm stainless steel case with enamel dial) in 2019, when it was ultra competitive at EUR 4,900. This steel model is still currently available, but carries a price tag of EUR 7,900. Even more recently, the Patria in the 41mm polished titanium case was released (early Sept 2025) with three launch references, viz the Reference 6612-01: Anthracite dial with black calfskin strap, Reference 6612-03: Graphite-gray dial with gray sheepskin strap, Reference 6612-05: Silver-white dial with light brown sheepskin strap. And these had a release tag of EUR 8,600. Since the September launch and November, the price has now increased to EUR 8,900. Or perhaps this is the premium for the 25 piece limited edition.

Release details

Inspired by nature, the color green carries powerful, cross-cultural symbolism. It conveys harmony and tranquility, while also representing resilience, prosperity, and strength. These qualities are not only reflected in the evergreen color scheme of the limited Patria edition, presented by Tutima Glashütte at this year’s Dubai Watch Week. They also define every single detail of the 25 collector’s pieces – from their refined aesthetics and carefully selected materials to the handcrafted in-house manufacture movement Tutima 617.

Everlasting Impression

A delicate pyramid texture on the dial creates a lively play of light, revealing ever-changing shades of green, ranging from deep moss to bright emerald. Applied and diamond-cut hour markers, together with manually finished hands, set shining highlights. While the historical logo from thebrand’s founding era pays tribute to nearly a century of watchmaking tradition, for the first time, Arabic-Indian numerals appear at the four, eight, and twelve o’clock positions.

Everpresent Strength

Since 1927, resilience and robustness have been synonymous with Tutima watches, with the brand’s very name derived from the Latin adjective “tutus,” meaning “safe” and “protected.” This quality is consequently carried forward with the new special edition: the polished 41-millimeter case is crafted entirely from Grade 5 titanium, a high-tech material that combines low weight with exceptional durability and skin-friendliness. Anti-reflective sapphire crystal provides added protection and a clear view of the dial. A curved flank elegantly encloses the ergonomically shaped and finely fluted crown.

Evermore Precise

Thanks to a specifically engineered ratcheting mechanism, the operation of the crown immediately conveys a pleasant winding experience. One can literally grasp the artisanal excellence of the in-house caliber Tutima 617, visible through the sapphire caseback. The three-quarter plate with its fine stripe finish, hand-beveled edges, and ruby bearings set in gold chatons continues the virtues of centuries-old Glashütte watchmaking tradition. An open-worked balance cock allows an unobstructed view of the free-sprung oscillating system with a manually bent Breguet overcoil. The screw balance wheel is meticulously adjusted by hand before it delivers the precise heartbeat of the Patria at 21,600 vibrations per hour. When fully wound, the movement offers a power reserve of at least 65 hours.

The luxurious alligator leather strap with a titanium pin buckle continues both the superior craftsmanship and the evergreen color theme. With its multifaceted design, the Patria makes a captivating first impression – and through its refined details, one that lasts.
