This is a re-incarnation of the Prospex 1968 Heritage Diver’s GMT SPB509 which was released on 6 March this year and a limited edition of 6000 pieces. The SPB509 was part of a 2 watch release with sea-inspired dials. A silver model honours Seiko’s 1965 Diver’s watch and the blue version SPB509, is based on the original design. This novelty is the SBP519, and is the non-limited edition corollary to the SBP509.

The March 4, 2025 release which marks the 60th anniversary of the Seiko diver’s watch. These are limited editions.

The SPB519 is the same as the SPB509 except that the wave motif on the dial is now just plain white. The white dial is more classic, and less fussy in appearance.

All other aspects are retained, including the blue bezel which is in stainless steel and ceramic insert.

The case is exactly the same, and this novelty uses the same micro-adjust bracelet as the 519. The movement is lso the same 6R54.

This additional novelty is in the permanent collection and is available from June, the same timing as the limited edition 60th anniversary models, which interestingly is priced at the same EUR 1.9k retail.
