Commentary
When it comes, it comes in droves. We are beginning the year with lots of news from the Japanese maisons! Looks like a slow start for the Swiss and Europeans, but our Japanese friends have been active! Though, to be fair, we received this piece of news from Thong Sia in December, but did not have the capacity to publish it till today.
The novelty is available in two colour options. One with a purple dial and the other in a brown dial. Both have colour coordinated bezel with the first 20 minutes marked in either purple or brown indicators over a white background and the rest of the bezel in reverse.
The watch is otherwise a stock Seiko 5 Sports model, and housed in their standard 42.5mm case with the Caliber 4R36 movement. The movement is a workhorse movement, which has proven time and again its hardiness and rugged ability, and suitable for everyday pursuits, including sporting activities like winter sports that this release is pitched at.
Pricing for these limited edition pieces is just a small premium over the regular Seiko 5 Sports SRP collection, which typically retails at SGD 436 for the limited edition pieces, and SGD 403.30 for the references in the standard catalog.

The two timepieces feature 42.5mm cases that fit comfortably on most wrists. The new Thong Sia Exclusive creations will be available in December 2025 at Seiko Boutiques and selected retail stores in Thong Sia Exclusive regions (Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia and Brunei), as a limited edition of 1,000 each.
