Hamilton reintroduces the new Khaki Field Mechanical 38mm, a perennial favourite among collectors of vintage military watches, this time with pre-patinated hands and indices.
Inspired by the military, the latest models from Hamilton’s Khaki Field collection are essential kit for life’s adventurers. One of the most widely produced and worn watches in the Hamilton collection, the Khaki Field was the original soldier’s watch. Rugged, uncompromising and functional, it was designed to meet the needs of military personnel but also later became a firm favorite among Hamilton fans and collectors.
The new Khaki Field Mechanical is a faithful recreation of its original 1940s forebear and it is true to Hamilton’s military heritage: 38mm matt stainless steel case, three hand display, dark dial with light, luminescent numerals, indexes showing hours and minutes, durable NATO strap.
There is nothing superfluous in this new watch, the original version of which was known as the ‘hack’ watch for its stop second function when the crown is released. Now a standard feature on all mechanical watches, it was a perfect way for the military to synchronize their watches.
There are two new versions to choose from: Reference H69429931 with matt black dial with white luminescent numerals and indexes in a matt steel sandblasted case and a NATO khaki colored strap with dark brown leather loops; or Reference H69429901 with matt brown dial with sand-colored Super-LumiNova hands, numerals and indexes with a sand-colored NATO strap and dark brown leather loops.
The Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical is ever as robust, thanks to the stainless steel case and lightness from the handwinding movement. In addition, the tough NATO strap adds to the perfect harmony for a piece of essential kit for life out in the field.

1940s forebear? this watch looks more like their late 70’s / 80’s military issue. on the website they say 1969, but the case design for that is slightly different
