The G-SHOCK x Kanoa Iragashi G-LIDE GBX-H5611KI retails at SGD 499 / JPY 50,600. Available from 31 July 2026.
Commentary
This is the fourth model that G-SHOCK has done with Kanoa Igarashi. The previous model Ref. GLX-5600KB-1 is now just discontinued. This novelty is part of the 5600 Series which is a staple in the brand. The series has models in the standard basic black resin, transparent, steel as well as in multi colours.
What is new is the GBX-5600KI is the carbon-reinforced resin back is lighter than the earlier versions. The inspiration for the case is the earthy brown hues of the Portuguese cliffs, with random patterns molded into every bezel and band. The bio-based carbon and resin mix is now a grey and brown. The metal wire frame around the watch face is now gone.
The purple/lavender hues which are vapour deposited on the dial represents the ocean at dusk. Igarashi’s signature is also shown on the dial and case back. In the outgoing model, this was on the glass protecting the dial, which is displayed only with the backlight on. The tide graph function and optical sensor for heart rate measurement and and analysis is retained. As is the high-definition MIP LCD display.

Born in Huntington Beach, California, Kanoa Igarashi began surfing at the age of three, inspired by his parents. That early passion carried him to the world’s biggest stage in 2016, when he became the youngest surfer ever to qualify for the WSL Championship Tour (CT). Now, the watch reflects that same journey, pairing advanced training and health tracking with a design inspired by Igarashi’s personal style and one of his home surf spots on the cliffs of Portugal.
A design rooted in personal style
The G-LIDE GBX-H5600KI features a band and bezel made from mixed-colour bio-based resin in a brown-based colour scheme inspired by the Portuguese coastline. The result is a design that suits daily wear while retaining a distinct connection to Igarashi’s surfing life. A lavender vapour deposition finish is applied to part of the glass, reflecting the “magic hour” tones of the ocean, one of Igarashi’s favourite colours.The design also incorporates personal touches, including Igarashi’s signature and his competition number, 50, worn on the world’s top surfing tour, the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour (CT). Bio-based resin is used for the main resin components of the case, bezel, and band, drawing on renewable organic resources to help reduce environmental impact.
Built for water and daily training
Beyond its tide graph function, the G-LIDE GBX-H5600KI includes an optical sensor for heart rate measurement and training analysis, alongside a high-definition MIP LCD that remains legible in bright sunlight and underwater. The watch is designed to support seaside activities as well as everyday workouts such as running and walking.
A carbon-reinforced resin case back reduces weight compared to the previous heart rate monitor-equipped model, the DW-H5600, for a more comfortable fit during activity.
