Parmigiani releases a new variant to their popular Tonda PF Micro-rotor collection with a bimetal rendition in stainless steel and rose gold with a stone blue dial.

Commentary
This is yet another extension to the Tonda PF lineup. The line has been exceptionally successful since its release in 2021, after a complete revamp by Guido Terreni. The revamp was subtle, yet significant. The base DNA of the Tonda lineup was kept. This line draws its heritage from Michel Parmigiani himself, and respects the classical proportions which Michel is very drawn to. And it is this subtle change that evokes the spirit of private luxury which the brand now identifies with. The guilloche pattern which is so small that it becomes almost invisible at a distance, only to appear on closer inspection. The small tweaks to the proportions and the angles. And equipped with Parmigiani’s PF 703 micro-rotor, it became iconic.
The Tonda PF line is now quite large. At a recent look at the Parmigiani website, we counted 36 references. With models from the simple two hand watch in various metals to those which feature complications as varied as chronographs and skeletons to tourbillons to perpetual calendars. Indeed the Tonda PF is a base for many of the watches offered by Parmigiani. The PF 703 caliber serves as the basis for developing the complications. And is quite a beautiful movement, as viewed from the case back. Finishing is haute horlogerie level.
Even the stone blue dial is not new. We first saw it in the Tonda PF platinum 40mm version of this very same novelty in Geneva during Watches & Wonders 2025. And in this novelty, we see the 40mm case and bracelet rendered in rose gold and stainless steel. A bicolour edition, which has also been a fixture within the other watches in this collection, but is the first for this two hand time only model in 40mm.
Pricing wise, the standard PF in steel with steel bracelet in various dial colours retail at CHF 23.7k, and the steel and gold version in 32mm case retails at CHF 32.3k.
