Norqain unveils a new watch they dubb Freedom GMT which is a 500 piece limited edition. One of the watches will hide a golden ticket for a dream holiday for two in Ayada Maldives Resort. We caught up with the Norqain team in Singapore, and here is the novelty with our brief impressions.

The Norqain Freedom GMT retails at SGD 8,100 for the models with the steel bracelet and white rubber strap with folding clasp, and SGD 7,900 for the model in white rubber strap and pin buckle. Prices are inclusive of GST.
Commentary
This novelty is an extension to the Norqain Freedom GMT collection. A quick look at the Norqain Freedom collection page tells us that the GMT is out of stock, but there are currently 6 Freedom Chronographs still in the catalog. Of these 3 are from the latest releases with the same Freedom Chrono Summer Holiday theme with model names like Ice Cream (2025) and Sprinkles (2026).
This novelty follows the same playful vibes and colour scheme. But instead of the dessert imagery, it uses the same colours on a dial with a world map with 24 playful elements. Interesting looking watch. Bright, cheerful. With very nice holiday vibes.
The movement is the Norqain NN20/2 which is a chronometer certified movement made for Norqain by Kenissi. This is the same movement in the other Freedom GMT watch.
But what is far more interesting is that Norqain has included a Willy Wonka style Golden Ticket hidden among the 500 pieces of this edition. The winner will get a dream holiday for two at the Ayada Maldives. The dream vacation includes six nights in an Ocean Villa on a full board basis. The winner will be announced in September. I think this idea is brilliant. Not only does it go with the whimsical design and light colours of the watch, but those who buy a watch will stand a 1/500 chance of the holiday. A quick check on the Ayada website gives the price for 6 nights Full Board on the Ocean Villa comes up to just about SGD 8k.

A WARM, SUMMERTIME PALETTE AND “HOLIDAY ICONS”
In the spirit of the Enjoy Life collection, the watch features a playful summer-inspired colour palette, with a world map dial in shades of orange, pink and turquoise mirrored on the GMT ring, where they graduate softly one into the next, expressing the gentle rising and setting of the summer sun.
The holiday spirit continues through a ser es of 24 playful “Holiday Icons” scattered across the dial, GMT scale and date display. First hand-drawn by our designer and then applied to the dial, these icons are inspired by iconic cultural and geographical landmarks around the world. Five summer holiday inspired icons also appear throughout the month in the date window, including flip-flops, sunglasses, beach umbrella, swim trunks and a bikini serving as playful reminders to embrace the holiday state of mind.
On the GMT ring, five icons appear, capturing the joy of travel and the relaxed, easy rhythm of a summer beach holiday. The scale begins at midnight with a crescent moon, followed by an icon at 2am symbolising sleep and rest. It then switches to a cup of morning coffee between 8am and 9am, before the sun takes over through the middle of the day. The fifth icon is a cocktail positioned between 4pm and 6pm alongside the words “Happy Hour”, conjuring images of those dreamy summer evenings.
The story of travel and summer adventures continues in the special presentation case. For this, NORQAIN has created a bespoke aluminium watch travel case. Inside it, the holiday mood continues: a passport holder, a world map insert and a tin box filled with pins, inviting the owner to mark the countries, cities and destinations they dream of discovering next.

A WATCH WITH A HOLIDAY STATE OF MIND
The Freedom GMT Enjoy Life “Holiday” Limited Edition is based on NORQAIN’s core collection Freedom GMT, a 40mm stainless steel watch designed for travel, exploration and unforgettable journeys.
It’s powered by the NORQAIN Manufacture NN20/2 by Kenissi, a chronometer-certified Swiss Made automatic with a 70-hour power reserve that’s visible through the watch’s sapphire crystal case back. The GMT hand is backed by a sophisticated jump-hour setting function operated through the crown that means it can be quickly adjusted either forwards or backwards in one-hour jumps. The case back is decorated with the “Enjoy Life” logo and the words “ONE of 500”, denoting the watch’s limited-edition run of 500 pieces.
The watch comes on a stainless steel bracelet or a white rubber strap. The screw-down crown is decorated with the NORQAIN logo, while the company’s signature “NORQAIN plate” appears on the case’s left flank, ready to be personalised by its owner.
