Commentary
The release information provided was an extremely short two paragraph piece, probably pieced together by the local PR team. A bit disappointing that a company has already spent the time, money and effort to develop what we think is a rather handsome watch, and at a reasonable pricing, but lack the ability to tell a strong story on the timepiece. In luxury, the story telling part is as almost important as, if not even more important than the actual product itself. Of course the product needs to meet a certain minimal standard based on the price class, and that is usually considered a hygiene issue rather than a sparkle or a unique selling point. Many have failed, or are still faltering because they have overlooked this. Often wondering why with strong products, they are not doing as well as those with strong stories We hope Norqain does not fall into this trap, as we think there is actually a legitimate value proposition for what they are offering in the market.

From the photographs we received, the watch looks decent. The contrast between the bronze case and stainless steel case back is handsome. The dial is in anthracite and is domed, with the half of the 24 hour timezone indicator (which can be used as a day/night indicator, or as a second timezone) provides visual relief against the dark dial. As does the sandblasted flat indexes, which Norqain describes as bronze colour. The Norqain logo is in gold as is the norm. The movement is the Norqain Calibre NN20/2 made for the maison by Kenissi.

And at 40mm in diameter, is a wrist friendly size and should prove to be a comfortable wear for most wrists. We will report back when we have encountered the watch in person.
