Nomos watches are well known for their understated, clean looking timepieces. Hailing from Glashütte, Germany, but with a history which is different from the other well known Glashütte maisons. Their watches are accessibly priced but provides good value for its collectors. 

This new release is a reimagination of the Ludwig 33 in new dial colours of black with golden hands.

Delicate, but not girlish: Ludwig 33 noir, the new ladies’ watch from NOMOS Glashütte. Made in the 175-year-old tradition of Glashütte watchmaking, this new watch will waltz into parties this winter and be the undisputed queen of all venues.

Golden hands on a black dial, a pleasantly rounded case and slender bezel with a diameter of 33 millimeters fastened by an anthracite velour leather strap—this model from the classic Ludwig series ensures you look your best, wherever you are. Ludwig 33 noir is the little black watch from NOMOS. This timepiece is powered by the high-precision, hand-wound Alpha movement, whose slender construction is quite simply astonishing.

Roman numerals, subtle indexes, railroad minute markers—also known by the French name chemin de fer. All gathered in a slender case reminiscent of a pocket watch: NOMOS Ludwig is a watch that could hardly be more classic. A timepiece for people who treasure traditions.

Three golden hands gleam as they rotate above a black dial with Roman numerals, a subtly recessed small seconds subdial and traditional minute markers—a watch with great appeal. Arching lugs and a gently rounded case make this model a comfortable fit. The anthracite, soft velour leather strap underscores the sophistication of this classic Ludwig.

Typical Glashütte features are visible through the sapphire crystal glass: the three-quarter plate, tempered blue screws, ribbed polishing, and the NOMOS swing system. This in-house designed and built escapement sets the pace inside the caliber, and NOMOS is one of only a handful of watchmaking companies worldwide able to produce it.

At 6.5mm the Ludwig 33 Noir is very slim and elegant, ideal for the thinner wrists and those who prefer a classic look and feel to a watch. This is possible due to the thin movement. Overall, the slim watch has the right amount of versatility with its classic proportions and casual suede strap and will fit many outfits as a functional accessory.
