New: Louis Vuitton Watch Prize for Independent Creatives 20 semi-finalist for 2025/26 announced

Louis Vuitton reveals the selection of the 20 semi-finalists for the second edition of the Louis Vuitton Watch Prize for Independent Creatives. The Prize established in collaboration with La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton aims to celebrate and support the next generation of independent watchmakers across the world. The first edition was won by Raúl Pagès, who had used the prize money and mentorship to further his independence.

We support and applaud Louis Vuitton to have the courage and commitment to this prize, and thus participate as a member of the Experts Committee. The invitation to participate was issued in late 2024, closing in March this year. And a shortlisted of 20 semi-finalists were chosen from hundreds of submissions.

“An important aspect of watchmaking lies with independent creators who transform a singular vision into mechanical artistry. This new generation of watchmakers is remarkable not only for their talent, but above all for daring to create truly original instruments of precision that are also works of art. The bold creations of the semi-finalists for the Louis Vuitton Watch Prize are a testament to this spirit. In their hands, watchmaking becomes an expression of pure creativity, each timepiece a testament to uncompromising craftsmanship and unique vision.” Jean Arnault, Louis Vuitton Watch Director.
