Commentary
The King Seiko Vanac returns, this time it becomes available with titanium case and bracelet. This expands the collection by three additional variants released here, with three different dial colours.

The three new dials are inspired by Tokyo’s cityscape. The colours of purple, grey and dark grey are intended to evoke the sensation of speed as one drives in Tokyo. The idea is is like driving through the giant metropolis from dawn to full daylight and then night.

The case retains the bulky, very 1970s look of the original Vanac as well as the 2025 steel release. This case design is essentially the same. The only difference is that instead of stainless steel, it is now in titanium. Though the case dimensions remain the same, this novelty release is now 40% lighter than the steel versions for the case and bracelet.

The case retains the broad angular facets which form the base where the box sapphire crystal rises. The design is bezeless, and have the blocky feel of the 1970s design. The finishing alternates between brushed surfaces and polished ones, and is the same as with the steel models released last year. The dials also sport a new design with lumibrite applied directly on the hour markers. The titanium bracelet now comes with a new trifold push button clasp, while the steel editions have standard steel deployant buckles.

The movement remains the C. 8L45, which has appeared in the steel release versions. This movement is also the base used in as Grand Seiko’s 9S55 movement, though the 9S55 has a higher level of finishing. It offers a 72-hour power reserve and operate within a tolerance of +10 to -5 seconds per day.

The price of the titanium releases are slightly more than the steel variants first released last year, with a modest premium of EUR 550. Availability is July 2026, and the three novelties are in the permanent collection.
