Commentary
The novelty is a new rendition of the Chief Date in a bright purple dial and matching rubber bracelet. This is an addition to the existing Chief Date collection with three other dial options – in blue, black and green.
Other than the new dial colour, which we think is a very strong colourway to be able to pull off discretely, all other factors on the watch is exactly the same as its siblings in the Chief Date collection – case, dial, hands are the same. Even the texture and pattern on the dial remains the same. We also note that they have kept the La Joux Perret automatic movement, which we are happy to see, especially at this price point.
Pricing remains at an even keel of CHF 2.3k in rubber strap, with the steel bracelet version adding a mere CHF 75 premium.
