Commentary
This is our first time on the media circuit with Dior. And we have been receiving the press material recently. So we thought we’d give a take on what looks to us to be a magnificent ladies watch which can easily double up as a piece of jewellery.
The watch is 36mm, with an automatic movement. And carries a beautiful black dial adorned with what looks to us to be coloured flowers laid as out on a filigree appliqué plate over the dial. The filigree has a honeycomb pattern and adorned with the said flowers and leaves in vivid colours. The colours are bright and very cheerful, especially over the dark black dial.
A quick search on the Dior site does not list this novelty yet, but the same model in a different colourway is listed. The listed model has a pink mother of pearl dial back with a very similar honeycomb filigree appliqué plate with a different motif chosen for the flowers and leaves. The new release has bolder colours compared to the pastel hues on the existing model. Both have the same 36mm stainless steel case and the same automatic Dior Inversé 11 1/2 movement.

The Dior Grand Bal collection pays tribute to Christian Dior’s passion for balls and haute couture dresses. The feminine and precious oscillating weight of the new Dior Grand Bal Broderie Florale is a masterpiece of fine craftsmanship. Made from white gold and platinum, it takes the delicate shape of a net, showcasing meticulous and precise artistry. Its brilliance is enhanced by an exquisite setting of diamonds and pink sapphires, adding a radiant sparkle and a uniquely feminine touch. The black dial creates a strong contrast between the couture net and the flowers that are dear to Monsieur Dior.
This new timepiece will be launched globally from 7th March.
