Citizen releases their Duratect Platinum recrystallised titanium technology on the popular Attesa collection. Three new limited editions are released.

New: Citizen Attesa Platinum Shine
The Citizen Attesa Platinum Shine models have the following retail prices:
- Satellite Wave GPS F950 Ref. CC4076-65A retails at SGD 2,943. Limited edition of 2,200.
- Eco-Drive Radio Controlled Chronograph Ref. AT8284-61A retails at SGD 1,847.55. Limited edition 2,500.
- Eco Drive Radio-Controlled Ref. CB0284-66A SGD 1,798.50. Limited edition 1,400.

All feature the titanium with Duratect technology that Citizen leads the industry. All also include Citizen’s best in class solar power technology powering their quartz movements. The three new models cover the range from the most complicated Satellite Wave which uses satellite communications to synchronise the time. The Satellite Wave Ref. CC4076-65A carries their top of the line F950 movement.
Two additional models are released. One with a chronograph, the Ref. AT8284-61A, and a time only version, the Ref. CB0284-66A.
All three now feature the Platinum shine Duratect, which looks more elegant than the sporty blue and black versions which we reviewed previously. The silvery hue exudes a more classical vibe.
All three models also carry a black bezel marked with the cities, and a beautiful geometrically textured (stamped) platinum hued dial with appliqué indices and contrasting sub-dials/chapter rings. The bracelet is also three link version, similar to the blue editions, and carry two side links which are satin finished with a center link which shows the crystalline structure of the titanium. These patterns are created by the manufacturing process where the metal cools unevenly, and are unique to each piece.
Release details
The designs of these Platinum Shine Collection models use Duratect Platinum to express the gentle glow of the silvery moon shining in the night sky. Recrystallized Titanium is a material created by applying a high-temperature heat treatment followed by a cooling process. This creates unevenness in the composition of the metal, producing unique crystal patterns on the surface. Each crystal pattern is unique to every watch, just like the patterns on minerals found in nature. Creating recrystallized Titanium is a complex process, and a high level of technical expertise is needed to process the material as it expands in response to the high-temperature treatment. 2025 marks the 55th anniversary of the launch of CITIZEN’s world-first titanium watch. These special limited-edition models feature the unique look of recrystallized Titanium on the centre link of the bracelet.
The cases and bracelets of the three new models are made of Super TitaniumTM*2 treated with Duratect Platinum, creating an attractive bright silver color that contrasts beautifully with the glossy black colour of Duratect DLC*3 on the bezel. The dial features a crystal pattern printed with metallic ink on the dial, and the sophisticated silver colored hands and indices combine with the matching inner ring to produce the image of a luminous full moon.
The CC4076-65A is equipped with CITIZEN’s F950 movement, the ultimate movement for light-powered Eco-Drive satellite wave GPS watches*4. This model is capable of receiving time signals in as little as 3 seconds – the fastest GPS satellite signal reception in the world*5, and the hour and minute hands move rapidly to display the correct time. City codes are printed in sparkling silver on the glossy black sapphire bezel.
The AT8284-61A and CB0284-66A models are Eco-Drive Radio Controlled watches*6 equipped with Direct Flight*7 which allows easy adjustment of the time and date in 26 time zones with just a twist of the crown.
