Commentary
We find it interesting to see this new approach by Chronoswiss to introduce a new material for the case. In a fire red, hence the name Firestarter, the case has a titanium core which is fused with a nano composite shell in a technique which they call Titanium Core Nano Shell. The shell is a brilliant firey red, making for a startling bright red case. The watch is paired with a matching red rubber strap.
The watch which this new tech is used on is one of the more technically interesting, non-regulator watches – the Delphis. It features an interesting digital jump hour coupled with a retrograde minutes and analog seconds. In the Firstarter, the seconds hand is replaced with a spinning disc. A cool complication.
The dial is further made more interesting with a hand guilloché with a red grand feu enamel over a 18k white gold dial.
The original Delphis was powered by the Chronoswiss caliber C.124, which was based on the classic Enicar caliber 165. The current version of the Delphis is powered by their in-house caliber C.6004. The Press Release did not supply a movement pohotograph.

This stunning dial is paired with Chronoswiss’s signature jumping hour mechanism, prominently displayed at 12 o’clock.
