Commentary
For our home nation’s 60th anniversary, we are happy to announce that Bvlgari has chosen to honour our island country with a new edition of their World Timer.
The base is the Octo Roma Worldtimer, and the SG60 Edition will have the city state Singapore prominently marked in red on the city dial of the watch. Something which we in Singapore, feel should have been a standard in world timers, but sadly, not a common occurrence. Historically, Hong Kong, which we share the same timezone with, is marked instead. Except for special Singapore editions.
The watch has the typical handsome looks of the Bvlgari Octo Roma collection, with the white and red markings on the matte black dial and case, both black DLC treated and sandblasted.
Pricing wise, the SG60 Edition does carry approximately a 10% premium over the standard Octo Roma Worldtimer which is listed at SGD 13k…though the standard model only comes with one strap.

A fitting tribute to a nation perpetually in motion, the Octo Roma Worldtimer SG60 Edition is crafted for the modern explorer. Its sculptural 41mm case, rendered in sandblasted stainless steel with a sleek black DLC coating, anchors the bold silhouette.
The matte black dial – punctuated with luminous white indexes and black PVD-treated hands – is contrasted by a red lacquered central seconds hand. Encircling it is a matte 24-hour ring, half in black and half in red, indicating day and night hours. The 24 world cities ring includes Singapore in striking red, setting it apart from the rest and reflecting its unique position on the global stage.At the heart of the watch beats the BVL 257 calibre, a mechanical automatic movement developed in-house by Bvlgari. Originally derived from the reliable BVL 191 architecture, this enhanced iteration was first unveiled in 2021 with the debut of the Octo Roma WorldTimer line. In the footsteps of Sotirio Bulgari’s discovery of the world, the BVL 257 was conceived to enable an intuitive reading of time in all 24 time zones at a glance, its dual rotating discs elegantly orchestrating city and hour displays across a 24-hour ring.
The integrated complication measures a remarkably slim 6.03 mm, beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz), and delivers a 42-hour power reserve. Its refined construction is revealed through a transparent caseback, offering a glimpse into Bvlgari’s precision and prowess in haute horlogerie.To complement its cosmopolitan spirit, the Octo Roma Worldtimer SG60 Edition comes with two rubber straps in red and black, both fitted with a black DLC-treated steel pin buckle. With a water resistance of 100 metres, the timepiece is as technically robust as it is stylistically versatile, and is designed to accompany the wearer across cities and continents.
This exclusive edition will take centre stage at the BEYOND TIME pop-up exhibition, held at the Paragon Mall Atrium in Singapore from 18 July to 10 August 2025.
