Commentary
The BR-05 lineup has become one of the staples within Bell & Ross Urban warrior vocabulary. The watch is handsome, and built to withstand the rigours of the city dweller. And with the GMT variant, for one who is also a globetrotter. The BR-05 GMT might well just be the perfect travel watch, especially in these days of danger lurking in the corners of large cities worldwide. It is elegant, tough and yet does not attract attention of the criminals who have become common.
The same good looks. The same ruggedness and comfot. The same convenience of the GMT. And now released with a sage green dial. Green seems to be on Bruno Belamich’s mind. Just earlier this month, they released the BR-03 GMT in Green Lume. Another do-it-all urban watch, but in the BR-03 collection, and somewhat louder with its bi-directional rotating bezel design. Here the BR-05 GMT is much more discreet. Much more elegant. The sage green dial is achieved through the three step process of sunray brushing, a tinted green varnish and a protective transparent varnish to finish off with an X1 SuperLumiNova for the green glow.
Pricing wise, the BR-05 GMT Green Steel compares well with its earlier brethren. The BR-05 GMT (Black dial) was released in 2021 at EUR 4.5k at launch (it is now also EUR 5.8k), rising slightly to EUR 5.8k for the BR-05 GMT White in 2022, keeping the same pricing for the BR-05 GMT Sky Blue in 2023.

Introduced in 2019, the BR-05 is a derivative of the BR-03, Bell & Ross’ iconic timepiece. It retains the collection’s signature shape — the famous circ le within a square, inspired by an aircraft cockpit instrument — while leaving the tarmac behind to embrace a distinctl y urban universe. The bracelet seamlessl y integrates with the case, creating a harmonious whole and shaping an immediatel y recognizable silhouette. Thanks to its integrated design, robust comfort, and refined finishes, the BR-05 has established itself as the perfect companion for an active, urban lifestyle.Since its launch, the collection has continued to evolve, expanding its functions and formats: 42 mm chronographs, 41 mm GMT models, and special 40 mm editions. In 2026, color takes center stage. The year celebrates green dials, with the BR-05 GMT Green Steel standing as the centerpiece of this trend, alongside the BR-03 Green Steel and BR-03 GMT Lum.
THE SAGE GREEN DIAL
The green chosen f or this BR-05 GMT is not a primary green. It is a sage green with silver-toned reflections — elegant, contemporary, and deep. To achieve this distinctive shade with its sunray finish, Bell & Ross developed a three-step manufacturing process: sunray brushing of a metal plate, application of a tinted green varnish, followed by a transparent glossy varnish layer that enhances the color’s protection and depth. The result is a dynamic dial whose reflections shift depending on the angle and the lighting conditions.
URBAN STYLE READY FOR TRAVEL
The BR-05 is the watch of the city dweller ; equipped with a GMT function, it becomes the watch of the globetrotter. The BR-05 GMT Green Steel simultaneously displays two time zones, thanks to an additional arrow-shaped hand that can be independently adjusted from the hour hand. The two-tone peripheral flange, in green and silver grey, is graduated over 24 hours, allowing day and night hours in the second time zone to be identified at a glance. Pure functionality, instant readability: the Bell & Ross DN A applied to travel. With its 41 mm case, the BR-05 GMT occupies a strategic position within the collection, between the 40 mm BR-05 Auto and the 42 mm Chronograph. A balanced intermediate size, designed to fit both the wrist and an international schedule.
