Commentary
The novelty is a new dial variation to the Chapter 4.6 GMT Tourbillon 1920 Limited Edition released in 2023. Chapter 4.6’s 50 piece limited edition is now sold out, and this new Chapter 4.8 is offered also as a limited edition of 50 pieces. The watch is essentially the same, but what’s new is the sage green dial finished with sunray. The green brings a strong character to the watch. And the sunray finish adds a dimension to the dial, bringing tones of lighter and darker green into play. The GMT function is reinforced by an engraving of a world map on the GMT sub-dial located at 1 o’clock. This is also new, as the Chapter 4.6 does not feature a world map engraving. Again, adds more character. The dial layout is balanced by the aperture to show the tourbillon at 7 o’clock.
The same movement which is used in the 4.6 is also used in the 4.8. This is a movement developed and manufactured by Olivier Mory. The same crystal NFC technology is embedded in the watch’s sapphire crystal.
Pricing remains competitive, though the retail price has slightly increased from CHF 7.5k for Chapter 4.6 to still very modest CHF 7.8k for Chapter 4.8. Still the least expensive Swiss made tourbillon, now with GMT, in the market today.
