Live from WWG25: highlights from Ressence new releases
The 15th Anniversary. Ressence is doing a new movement and a new collection called Type 7 in two variations. The first is called Type 7N in midnight blue with a ceramic bezel and the Type 7 XV as the anniversary model in green with an anodised aluminium bezel. The reason for the aluminium is the colour is not easy to obtain for smaller manufacturers. The bezel is 3mm thick, and screwed in from the back. The Type 7 has a 41mm case. Like all Ressence the case has a rounded finish.

In the Type 7, Ressence is now in the fully integrated bracelet. All in titanium, including the dial. The movement is still oil filled with a base from ETA. But what they keep from the ETA is the escapement and the automatic winding. The gear is changed because it is not strong enough. The barrel is also changed. This is because it drives the ROC system and the dial. Ressence is developing their own in-house movement, hopefully to be released soon.

New generation ROCs. This is the third generation, now the discs are mounted in ball bearings. This gives the moving parts more precision as the tolerances are measured in microns.

The price of the Type 7 is CHF 36k, before VAT.
