From our European base in Stuttgart

The Christmas Market or Weihnachtsmarkt is a long standing German tradition. Here, in Stuttgart, just a short drive from our European headquarters, the market is a magnificent sight.

Weihnachtsmarkt-Stadt Stuttgart

All the major cities of Europe celebrate Christmas and New Years with Christmas markets. Enjoyment for children and adults is everywhere. People can eat and drink traditional food and beverages and do Christmas shopping. In Stuttgart centre, in front of the Königsbau Passage, a wheel ferry shows a view of the entire Christmas Market.

And we couldn’t help but show you the magnificent Le marché de Noël, Strasbourg (Capitale de Noël – City of Christmas), about 90 mins drive away, photographed by our European Bureau Chief when he was there recently

Strasbourg Capitale de Noël - one ofthe most beautiful Europe's city around Christmas

Strasbourg is renown as Capitale de Noël (the city of Christmas). It has one of the most beautiful Christmas market and decorations from entire Europe. The centre has every street decorated in its own style like a contest of who has the most beautiful street. Not only decorations, excellent Christmas food and drink but also small manufacture shops with lovely toys and home decorations.

And from our temporary Editorial HQ in San Diego, where the Chief Editor is taking his winter sojourn, we present the famous Christmas Card lane, where private houses dress their homes in Christmas lights, and showcase creativity.
