Geneva Watch Days: new next week on Deployant

Geneva Watch Days is next week! From August 30 to September 3, many independent watch brands will be making announcements on novelties. We will be covering many of these new releases, some via our Press Release with Commentary in Italics (™?), but some which we have already have had a hands-on session and photoshoot will be published as full reviews.

We won’t be in Geneva for the show, but we will bring you the novelties! The pandemic woes prevent us from traveling to Switzerland. The rules in Singapore are progressively being relaxed, but as of now, it is still rather difficult. A 4 day trip to Geneva will require a 2 week quarrantine on return, even for those who are fully vaccinated. So, to bring you all the news, we will be attending all the Zoom sessions with the brands. The 2021 Geneva Watch Days will be a format which is described as phygital, where both actual visits to the exhibition sites as well as digital presentations are possible. In addition, some brands have chosen to send the novelties to Singapore for our hands-on and photography sessions. And to those forward looking brands, chapeau, for letting us bring to our readers, the full hands-on detailed reviews.

Geneva Watch Days – what to expect next on Deployant

Here is a quick run down on our schedule for next week.

Monday Aug 30

At 4pm SGT, we will bring you the new Moser novelty. We have seen the novelty in person and had a studio photography session with it. We also had a Zoom presentation by Edouard Meylan who explained the intricacies of the novelty. This will be a full comprehensive review with our high resolution photography. This new watch is very exciting, and brings to fruition many of the concepts the Meylans have been talking about in the Moser branding story.

At 5pm SGT, Greubel Forsey will release a new version of an existing model, which looked very interesting on paper. We will bring you the usual Release with commentary in italics article.

    • Yes, Czapek will release a new piece on Aug 30, 11am CEST. We will bring you the release information with commentary in italics a little after embargo lifts. Thanks.

  1. I think I can guess what the Moser will be, and all I can hope for is that it’s not too expensive. I suspect it will be, though. 🙁
