A day out with Glashütte Original’s Senator Excellence

We spent a day out with the Glashütte Original’s Senator Excellence Panorama Date and the Panorama Date Moon Phase; two watches ideal for both ‘work and play’. From the office to the bars, here are a series of live shots of both watches both indoors and outdoors.

The Senator Excellence Panorama Date Moon Phase

Available in three dial variants in blue, silver grey and white dials in stainless steel cases, the 42 mm watch from Glashütte Original is packed with the latest caliber 36 from the maison. With over 100 hours of power reserve, the caliber 36 is thoroughly tested over the course of 24 days – under conditions even more demanding than those governing German chronometer certification testing.

The sunburst blue dial is made in-house by Glashütte, in their dial factory at Pforzheim, and paired with steel sword hands for a contemporary look. The watch is available in both bracelet and leather strap. Click here for a full review of the watch.

The Senator Excellence Panorama Date

The Glashütte Original Senator Excellence Panorama date is pictured here with the brushed steel dial. Also cased in a 42 mm stainless steel case and fit with the caliber 36, the Senator Excellence Panorama date greatly resembles the moonphase version.

But put on a thick bracelet, the brushed dial with a slight dressage finish is significantly more sporty and rugged. The bracelet also comes with an innovative quick adjust system at the clasp, almost like a diver’s extension; which makes for simple fine adjustments.
