IWC to celebrate the ten-year partnership with Mercedes-AMG, releases a watch with a material never used before in the watch industry. Introducing the IWC Ingenieur Automatic Edition AMG GT.
It is the first watch worldwide to feature a case made of boron carbide, currently the hardest ceramic of them all. Boron carbide, is second only to diamond in terms of hardness.
The name chosen for the new watch is a tribute to the new Mercedes-AMG sports car, the second
vehicle built entirely in-house by the performance brand of Mercedes-Benz. The colour scheme of the watch is a reference to AMG’s exclusive colour, “solarbeam” used on the AMG GT. It certainly makes the watch pop!

The eye-catching screws in the bezel and crown are made of black zirconium oxide.
Through the see-through sapphire-glass back is the in-house 80110-calibre, which has an integrated shock-absorption system and a blackened rotor.

The rubber strap features Dinamica® inlay, which is the same innovative microfibre used by Mercedes-AMG to pad the steering wheel, seat upholstery and headliner in the new Mercedes-AMG GT. The watch has contrast yellow stitching to match the dial markers.
